ABSTRACT
This study examined organization reward system and its impact on the productivity of staff, using NNPC mega Station Uyo as a case study. To accomplish the research objectives, the study adopted the survey research design while convenience sampling technique was used to select fifty (50) respondents as sample size for the study. The research instrument in the study was a self-developed questionnaire that was administered personally by the researcher. Data analysis technique employed was the descriptive statistics which involved the use of simple frequency tables and percentages. The study revealed that what makes up good organization reward system are identification of organization group goals that the reward program will support, determination of the key measurement of the performance of behaviour based on individual or group achievement etc. The study also revealed that the impact of reward system on staff productivity is better performance, strong motivation and personal growth and development. The challenges encountered when reward system are not well applied were identified as poor performance and low level of motivation. Finally, the study showed that the solution to the problems of reward system in an organization are timely rewarding, appropriate rewarding and quality reward, useful recommendation were also offered such as appropriate reward system should be determined before they can be awarded group goals that the reward program will support should be identified. It is believed that if those recommendations are followed it will impact positively on the staff productivity.

INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the Study
Generally, organization reward system are incentive program that encourage staff engagement and productivity by offering bonuses, increase pay, additional time off or other for a job well done (Johnson, 2011).
Reward system recognized staff member who excels in the areas as customers services, royalty and sales ability. Organization implements work place reward system to retain employees, increase moral and improve overall performance and recognize productivity in the organization Adeyepa, (2016).
Employers who recognize and reward staff for their effort give them an incentive to perform better and more productive. According to Ekong (2009) who feel valued and successful are more likely to pursue advancement opportunity based on goals are achieved by employee.
