ABSTRACT
This research study is focused on Student Project and Verification system using Computer Science Department, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua as case study. This study is aimed to create a system that will manage database and maintain a list of all student group that have registered their topics. To develop a system that will monitor student project allocation without duplicating. The study is necessary because the existing system is prone to mistakes both inadvertent and deliberate, since human is involved and the system control is time consuming. Not reliable and less efficient. The significant of the study is to help in a good number of ways to ease the hurdles in manual process of registering and Assigning Student a project Topic. The research methodology used is systematic methodology and the programming language used for the development of the system is visual Basic.Net language and Microsoft Access as database.

INTRODUCTION
- Introduction
Project monitoring is defined as a process which is performed to track the progress of project execution so that potential problems can be identified well in time for the taking of the corrective actions for the purpose of controlling the execution of the project (Bichler, 2017).
With the advancement in file saving and file retrieval system, institution cannot afford to be ignorant of the basic tool, which is the driving force behind technological oriented administration.
Hence, the efficiency of an organization or establishment would be achieved if they embark on computer-based system. However, using the computer based system in place of the manual system, a charge that is going on in computer science, Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic course project monitoring procedure. It will make the practical insinuation of high technology. This will enframe the time needed for supervising of departmental project and attend to other subsequent information needed by the management system (Eric, 2010). The important of this researcher is so prominent with the current of monitoring the project and allocation, suggest a complete efficient and reliable approach that will be of immense benefit to most higher institutions in general especially to Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic.
