ABSTRACT
This studies provide the designed and installation of Solar power PV system for a 2 bedroom flat at Offa Kwara State. A total load of 1680 watt, with total battery bank of 3636.3ah was determined during the sizing of apartment under study.
A cost of installation was compared at
the cost of using a diesel generator and electricity from the national grid.
The result shows that after 2years 4 month the cost of using diesel generator
will be equal to the amount spent on photovoltaic system, also after 3years
2months the cost of using electricity from public utilities will be equal to
the amount spent on photovoltaic system.
