ASSESSMENT OF REPRODUCTIVE HEALTHCARE SERVICES FOR WOMEN
The current population of Nigeria is 189,689,126 people based on the latest United Nations estimate. Nigeria population is equivalent to 2.55% of the total world population (world population prospects, 2015).About two-third of the population live in rural areas, and most rural dwellers are involved in the agriculture sector. Ibrahim, M. K. (2005). In 2008, the adult literacy rate for both sexes was 74.8%. Nigeria has a high total fertility rate estimated at 5.5 births per woman (compared to a world average of 2.5). The fertility preference of Nigerian women is closely related to the number of living children.
