ABSTRACT
To determine levels of micro nutrients composition in benthic macroinvertebrate from Itu Bridgehead, Standard analytical method (digestion process) was used. T. fucatus(macrovertebrate) from the area showed that Zn (19.20 mg/kg) and Fe (20.60mg/kg) were higher than other nutrient. Values Cu (0.66mg/kg) and Mn (0.76 mg/kg), were slightly higher than the WHO maximum permissible limit. This result, as it is, is attributed to the affinity T. fuscatus, just like other aquatic macroinvertebrate, has four sources of its nutrient, and also, they play important metabolic roles in the organism. The values obtained from the analysis showed unsafe nutrient status, although not alarming.
