ABSTRACT
This research study is focused on design and implementation Centralized Data Communication Network using Anchor Insurance Company Limited, Uyo as case study. The study is aimed at developing a central server that maintains, manages and controls the activities of all other systems, creating a system that will reassure data security, integrity and reliability and designing a system that will be cost effective compared to individual database system. The significant of the study is to create a central system where all data will be stored and accessed when needed by making use of local area network connection. Example, in an organization where there are several client computers and one server. The research methodology used is systematic methodology and the programming language used for the development of the system is Visual Basic programming language and MySQL as database. The organization should embrace and develop the computerized data centralization of monitoring the company to help in centralizing data in order to achieve the company’s goal in which it was established.

- Introduction
This chapter introduces centralized data communication network in insurance organizations. It discusses about the problem statement, aim and objectives, significance of the study, scope of the study, organization of the study as well as definition of terms.
A data centralization network aims the centralization of data in different platforms which are based in different platforms, can be centralized in a unique server. It supports the communication between the clients in different platforms of a company.
A centralized network is a type of network where all users connect to a central server, which is the acting agent for all communications. This server would store both the communications and the user account information. Most public instant messaging platforms use a centralized network. Also called centralized server-structure
Centralized data means that the whole organization works from the same blueprint, avoiding discrepancies that easily arise from disparate data and different tools. For example, marketing and product reporting on the same metrics is done with the same data.
Data centralization leads to more meaningful reporting, ensures that the same data is available across the organization, and increases your return of investment. With a robust data management system, companies can provide authorized access to stored data. It’s also a better approach to share data securely and seamlessly.
