ABSTRACT
This research work involved the determination of different wire using meter bridge, the experiment was carried out and the results were obtained as follows, Sample A (SWG 126) with the resistivity value of 3.34 x 10-8 Ω/m, Sample B (SWG 125g) 5.02 x 10-8 Ω/m, Sample C (SWG 124g) 6.54 x 10-8 Ω/m, Sample D (SWG 123g) 7.36 x 10-8 Ω/m and Sample E (SWG 122g) with the resistivity value of 5.49 x 10-8 Ω/m.

1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY
Although Ohm found that the ratio of potential difference across a conductor to the current flowing in it is dependent on the material and dimensions of the precise experiments showed it to depend upon temperature and even upon the presence of stress in the conductor. Instead of incorporating such quantities in our equation for the current, we say that the resistance is a function of temperature and stress and for a given conductor we must state the values of temperature and stress for which a value of resistance is given (Oliver, 2004).
